There were no immediate reports of major damage or injuries from the 5.9 magnitude quake, which the U.S. Geological Survey said was centered in Mineral, Virginia, at a very shallow depth of 0.6 mile.
Information gathered so far shows that no casualty has been recorded and i hope none would be at the end of the day.
If Nigeria were an human being, i would be pulling her ears now.Nigeria,Nigeria can you see that?No casualty because response was swift,if it were you, will there be casualties or not?
I once watched a man run down to a fire service station shouting on top of his voice..my house is on fire, please help,my house is at..and the first problem...no personnel was at the office.
He was directed to where they were and on getting there, they did not have water.Whatttttttt! When fire is razing its with unprecedented speed..damage is being done and every minute counts..i do not know how it feels watching work of one's hard labour for decades or years go right down in seconds..it is rather sad.
Recent report put loss of property in the Lagos flood at over 40m naira..
Is it because we do not have enough resources that we rarely experience this kind of disasters?
Whatever the reason, all i can say is LUCKY NIGERIA and THANK GOD!!!
